One of my favorite stats was the 90% increase in conversion rate when the familiar call-to-action phrase of "start your free trial" was changed slightly to "start my free trial".
One important question to keep in mind while planning your conversion form is "what is the goal of this form?" Your tactics for testing different variations of questions and call-to-action copy will vary based on starting a free trial, downloading an eBook or learning more about an expensive purchase.
